No advertising or analytics cookies: TableSpring does not currently use ad pixels, third-party product analytics, session replay, fingerprinting, or cross-site tracking. The storage below supports site preferences, authentication, and beta testing.
1. What this notice covers
Cookies are small values a website asks a browser to store. Browsers also provide local storage and session storage. This notice covers all three for the TableSpring marketing site, invitation-only beta, and non-production ordering flows used during testing.
2. Marketing website and waitlist
Site-preference storage
- Storage: first-party local storage, not a cookie.
- Purpose: remembers that you dismissed the GloriaFood migration notice.
- Duration: until you clear site data.
- Content: a simple dismissal preference that does not identify you.
The waitlist form itself sets no cookie or browser identifier. It sends the email address you enter, the signup source, and the referring URL when available to our server. See the Privacy Policy.
3. Invitation-only beta dashboard
Sign-in and security cookies
- Storage: first-party, HTTP-only cookies.
- Purpose: signs you in, refreshes your session, and protects beta routes.
- Duration: browser session by default, or up to 30 days when “Keep me signed in” is selected. Short-lived verification cookies may also be used during an authentication redirect.
- Provider: our managed authentication provider.
Restaurant setup draft
- Storage: first-party session storage.
- Purpose: preserves an unfinished restaurant setup draft while you move between beta setup screens.
- Duration: the current browser tab; closing the tab removes it.
- Content: restaurant details you entered or selected from Google, which may include name, address, phone, hours, website, cuisine, price range, timezone, and Place ID.
Interface preferences
- Storage: first-party local storage.
- Purpose: remembers whether you prefer the card or table menu view.
- Duration: until you change it or clear site data.
- Content: the display option you selected.
4. Non-production ordering pages used in beta testing
These values support testing only. Beta participants must use sample data.
Test cart storage
- Storage: first-party local storage.
- Purpose: preserves a test cart across page reloads and browser tabs.
- Duration: treated as stale after seven days.
- Content: selected test menu items, options, quantities, and prices.
Per-tab test session
- Storage: first-party session storage, not a cookie.
- Purpose: a random per-tab identifier that connects basic test navigation and checkout events so the test flow can be evaluated.
- Duration: the current browser tab.
- Content: a random string that is not derived from a person, browser, or device. It is not used across restaurants or sessions.
5. Your controls
You can clear cookies, local storage, and session storage in your browser settings. Blocking or clearing authentication cookies will sign you out of the beta. Blocking local storage may prevent a preference or test cart from persisting, but the marketing site and waitlist form will still work.
We do not currently need a preference banner because we do not use non-essential advertising or third-party analytics cookies. If that changes, we will update this notice and add consent controls where the law requires them before enabling the new technology.
